Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Meet Nesta! Nesta is roughly a year old, and to the best of our knowledge, some sort of heeler/shepherd/collie mix. Nesta was found back in April during a tornadic thunderstorm in Oklahoma, extremely undersocialized and feral. We brought Nesta into our house on the agreement that a friend would take him once his lease was up in June. However, June rolled around and the friend ghosted us. We’ve reached out to numerous rescues and none have been able to help us out in finding him his forever home.
Nesta is a true herding breed pup, in that he is SO SMART! He’s easy to train and extremely food motivated. If Nesta’s mental stimulation needs aren’t met, he will get bored and destructive. Nesta also does resource guard his human from other dogs. Nesta would ideally be placed in a home with no other dogs, however if someone is willing and able to work with him on his resource guarding and who understands heelers, placing him in a home with other dogs would be an option.
