My story

How this pet arrived:
Mellow was brought in by another shelter on December 19, 2024,

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Mellow: the handsome heartthrob with a face so irresistible, it might just cause a few swoons. With those stunning green eyes, he'll steal your heart before you even know what hit you. This charming guy is fully prepared to be the center of your world. His ideal day? Wand toys, cozy nooks, and tasty treats, all while basking in your undivided admiration. Mellow is the type to melt into your lap (or a sunbeam, he's not picky) and purr his way straight into your heart. Whether he's lounging in a cozy spot or catching a nap, he knows how to make every moment feel like a mini vacation. Ready to let Mellow take over your heart and home? Don't forget to bring a top-loading carrier when you come to adopt, because he's all about traveling in style (and safety). Come meet Mellow today-you'll see, he's as sweet as he looks!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
