Why this pet is the one for you:
Say hello to Stardust! This little beauty may be a bit shy at first, especially when meeting new people or settling into a new environment, but don't let that fool you. Stardust is a true gem, just waiting to sparkle once she feels comfortable in her new space. Like any star, she needs a little time to adjust, and confinement is the key to success. A stress-free home will work wonders, allowing her to relax and come out of her shell. Once Stardust is at ease, her true personality will shine bright! She's got a lot to offer-especially in the cozy nooks and soft spots of your home. With a little patience and a calm environment, you'll see just how sweet and delightful she can be. Stardust is ready to make her mark in your life, as long as you're prepared to give her the time she needs to adjust. Come meet Stardust today, and maybe you'll find your next favorite cozy companion. She can't wait to claim that warm, comfy spot in your home. Just remember to bring a top-loading cat carrier for a smooth and safe journey home-because every star deserves a safe trip to their new galaxy.

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
