My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ebony, a dynamic diva, a beautiful belle, a vivacious vixen. Ebony is a fluffy, outgoing cat who loves attention and pets but also has limits to how and when she's handled. She will let you know with a bit of a swat if you're doing something that displeases her but she also really loves her people and can be quite affectionate. Because of her temperamental personality she is looking for a cat savvy home without children who allows her to rule as queen supreme. She has lived with other cats before but could occasionally be a bit domineering, so may be best as the only feline in the home. She would need proper, slow introductions to other animals in a new home. She may be a bit anxious in new environments and will need some love and time to adjust in her new home. Once comfortable she will really enjoy exploring her new home. Ebony is used to being a strictly indoor only cat. Adopt Ebony today, and welcome a lifetime of feline companionship into your heart.

We will accept surrendered animals by appointment only, and we are open for adoptions on special occasions.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst
