Dakota came to us from MCAS as a starvation dog on 11/19. He was one of the worst we have ever seen. He has made such amazing progress. He is our little miracle dog. Dakota LOVES his tennis balls! Its so great that as hes gaining weight and feeling better, his cute personality is now shining through. Hes turned the corner on starvation and the Vet only needs to see him if any issues pop up. He is so sweet and has the cutest speaking habits. We are very pleased to announce that he is ready for adoption. He is going to make such an amazing pet. Interview to see if the pet will be a good fit into the home.

Meet the pet. A short interview will be conducted. Fill out an adoption application and contract and you can take your new companion home. We are always here to support you after the adoption with any questions or concerns.

Go meet their pets

We hold adoption events every Saturday from 10 to 1 at the Grand Junction Petco, PetSmart or Chow Down for dogs and puppies. Cats and kittens can be seen by appointment at Grand Rivers Humane Kitty Korner (1649 Main St, Grand Junction 970.257.0070) or anytime at Petco, PetSmart and J&M Aquatics. All of our adoptable pets come from Mesa County Animal Services.
