Meet Stormy! This sweet kitten is full of love, energy, and curiosity, just like any other kitten. Stormy recently had a routine SNAP test, which showed a positive result for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). However, it’s important to know that FIV-positive results in young kittens can often be false positives due to the presence of maternal antibodies.
As Stormy grows, their immune system will develop, and a retest at 6 months of age is recommended to confirm their FIV status. Even if Stormy is confirmed FIV-positive, they can live a long, healthy life as an indoor cat with proper care and regular veterinary check-ups.
Stormy is a wonderful companion who deserves a loving home. If you’d like more information about FIV or how you can give Stormy the love she deserves, please reach out to us—we’re happy to answer any questions!
