Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Opie is being fostered in NJ.
Opie traveled a long way to be a BDRA foster dog, but he immediately fit in, learned his way around, and made us fall in love with him.
Opie is a funny little dog. He loves belly rubs and lying in the sun. His bark sounds like a squealing pig and he will let you know if he doesn't like something. He's not a lap dog but he's happy to take a nap next to you on the couch or in the bed with you.
A recent vet appointment revealed that Opie has a heart murmur and arthritis in his back legs. He gets drops in his eyes twice a day for dry eyes.
Opie is such a cutie and gets along with other dogs, as long as they don't get too close to him. He does not have any separation anxiety - or any anxiety. He's happy just to sleep away the day!

Can I meet the dog before I submit an application?
All of our dogs are cared for in private foster homes. We cannot make arrangements for private meet and greets until an application is received and references have been checked. That being said, many of our dogs are at local public events where you can certainly go to meet them.
Will you transport the dog to me? What if I live in Canada?
Generally yes, as long as you do not live more than 18 hours from a dog’s foster home. If you are unsure, please email adoption@blinddogrescue.org
