My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Meet Aspen – Your New Shadow Who Will Follow You Everywhere (Yes, Even to the Bathroom)!

Aspen is an 11-month-old Bernese Mountain Dog/Poodle mix who weighs about 35lbs of pure, unfiltered energy. If you’re looking for a dog who will NEVER leave your side – and we mean never – Aspen is your guy! Whether you’re cooking dinner, going for a walk, or even just sitting on the couch (he’ll probably try to climb on top of you), Aspen will be there, eyes wide, tail wagging, just waiting for the next adventure.

Aspen is currently living the good life in a foster home with another young dog, and they’re having a blast together. He gets along great with other dogs and kids – though, because he’s like a turbo-charged puppy on a sugar high, we’d recommend older, sturdier kids who can keep up with his playfulness (and survive the zoomies).

This guy is not the type to chill on the couch all day. He’s looking for a high-energy home where he can run, fetch, play, and probably try to help you with everything you do. He’s got jobs to do, people! If you’re an active person who needs a partner for your daily activities, Aspen is here to take your exercise routine to the next level.

Aspen is house and crate trained, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and on monthly heartworm and flea preventatives. He is scheduled to be neutered on 12/26/24, so he’ll be ready for all the playdates and adventure you can throw his way.

Ready to add some extra energy to your life? Apply today to bring Aspen home!

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ

Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet.

Applications are the first step in the adoption processPlease do not call or email simply to express interest. We are all volunteers and receiving your application saves us time and helps to determine the best match for both people and dogs.

We provide as much information as we currently have on each dog in their description. For questions on the adoption process, including fees, please review the Adoption page. If you have additional questions or are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application. Once we receive your application someone will be in touch to answer your questions.

We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.

 Thank you!

Additional adoption info

Filling out an application is the first step. An online application is located on Haven to Home's homepage. Application, references, home visit and adoption fee are required to adopt one of our dogs. Due to the severe overpopulation of dogs in this country Haven to Home believes that responsible pet owners have their pets spayed or neutered. Therefore it is our policy not to adopt our dogs to people who do not have their current animals spayed or neutered unless there is a medical reason. Adoption fees are listed on our website.
