Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Peregrine is a sweet and playful kitten who loves being around her humans and foster sisters. She enjoys playing “tag” with her foster sisters and following the action around the house; never wanting to be left out. When she’s ready for affection, Peregrine will rub against her human’s legs to ask for hugs and loves being held as long as she’s getting plenty of pets. Her favorite toys include toy mice and crinkle balls. If she feels like she’s missing out, Peregrine will meow loudly and jump up to demand attention, making her an affectionate and engaging companion.

We have worked hard to make our adoption process as easy as possible. We like to think of the process in four steps: application, phone conversation, meet and greet and adoption day. We will get back to applicants within a few days even if they were not chosen.

More about this rescue

Paws and Claws Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the Chicagoland area dedicated to preventing, and alleviating the suffering caused by abuse, neglect, and overpopulation. We help dogs and cats mentally and physically heal, and give them a chance to find love, a full life, and a forever home.

Our focus is on rescuing orphaned neonatal kittens, nursing kittens with their feral mothers, under-socialized cats, and dogs who have been at Chicago Animal Care and Control for too long. We see ourselves as the crossing guards for these vulnerable animals, helping them get from their past, whether that be from a traumatic home, a kennel, or a euthanasia list, to a safe and kind human who will love them.
