My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My Foster writes:
Chrysanthemum (aka Chrys, Mister, Bud) is a doll! His purring motor is nearly always running and is all you need after a stressful day. He'll even let you hold him to listen. He had been in another home (with other pets, too) before landing at ACC after his owner had died and he sure has acclimated well to his foster apartment. He enjoys a perfect kitty-balance of hanging out, finding a lap, visiting while you work and tucking away in good kitty hiding spots. Curious, friendly, communicative, and trusting...Chrysanthemum is a fabulous adult tuxie for your home.

A volunteer writes:
Chrysanthemum....Do I know you? I recognize you...I am so mixed up....Now, I know! Chrysanthemum is part of a tribe of eight cats(and a turtle), six of them already brought to the Manhattan Care Center as their owner passed away. This little guy was left behind and was likely fed by a good samaritan. He is the carbon copy of some of his housemates we all loved very much. We still have one of them, Yaki Udon, a lovely thirteen year old gent, looking for a home. Chrysanthemum is a friendly and welcoming kitty, readily "available" when someone knocks at his door. He goes at once into a full scale petting mode and enjoys, of course, treats and tasty food. He aced, no surprise, his behavioral evaluation. Chrysanthemum is, no doubt about it, in need of TLC but who would not want to have such a sweet kitty in their home? Drop by the care center, ask about Chrysanthemum(who is already neutered) and take him home today!

I am a sweet, social, older gentleman, looking for the perfect forever home!

Chrysanthemum interacts with the assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is suitable for any level of adopter experience.
