My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Nellie! A super loving 2.5 year old Great Dane. Nellie is special - she came to us after being recused in a breeding and hoarding case with 120 other dogs, and after 3 months of rehabilitation with the ASPCA center in Weaverville NC, we rescued her from the humane society.

Nellie has been through a lot, and for some reason is fearful of my husband, which never fully allows her to be relaxed in our home. She is medicated daily to assist her be the best loving dog she is! We want her to feel that sense of calm always. When she is calm, she is a chill goofball that enjoys playing with other dogs and will always find her favorite spot to nap. She walks great on a leash, and does not pull, and is totally house trained! She does not get into many things and does great with our small children.
Nellie is so special and kind and sweet. Her eyes melt your heart (one blue, one brown). She would do great in a home with another dog. We have everything you would need for her. She’s wonderful
