Introducing Marshall!

Marshall is absolutely the kindest, gentlest old soul pitbull mix and loves to be petted and scratched.

He knows SIT fluidly, shakes with his front left paw and waits for treats politely.Marshall enjoys all sorts of treats, both dry and wet food and is definitely a great candidate to learn some extra tricks.

Since Marshall is about 7 years old, he will need to go to a home with children over the age of 12 and possibly a lower to medium level energy dog. Although we aren`t sure of Marshall`s experience with cats, if you have cats in the home, slow and supervised introductions would definitely be best.

It`s definitely time you bring Marshall into your loving home for the holidays. He will make a great addition to your family.

If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.

Submit Application

Interview

Macomb County Animal Control will verify proper preventative care history of past/current pets and verify home ownership/review a pet policy

3.
Approve Application

Once an application is approved the adoption coordinator will schedule a time with the applicant/family to meet the pet.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

If a meet-and-greet is successful the family has an opportunity to finalize the adoption.

5.
Pay Fee

Each pet has an established adoption fee and payment can be accepted in the form of credit/debit, check or cash.

6.
Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

Fees very depending on age, animal, breed, etc. Fees vary and are established by the county to help offset medical and care expenses.

You are required to fill out an adoption application that is subject to review. We reserve the right to deny any application for any reason. If you would like to adopt and dog and already have a dog/s, please bring your dog/s with you so we can make sure the dogs get along. If you rent your home, live in a condo or mobile home community, please bring proof that you are allowed to have pets.
