My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
This pet was brought in by their previous owner.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Gigi, an energetic and affectionate pup in search of her new home! Gigi has love to give to her humans, but she can be a bit timid at first. With some treats and patience, she warms up quickly and reveals her sweet, loving nature. Gigi is a high-energy dog who enjoys playing and socializing. Gigi will do best with an owner who will help her learn how to politely interact with other dogs and cats. She may need some time and guidance to build her confidence in these situations, but with consistent training, she can continue to improve. With a little patience and the right training, she'll make an amazing companion. Gigi is ready to join a home where she can get plenty of love, socialization, and patience. If you're looking for a sweet, energetic pup to add to your family, come meet Gigi today! Don't forget to bring a leash and collar!

At SDHS:
This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered. This pet is now ready for their new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
