Mitzke and Shako are a wonderful daughter daddy duo, they are a bonded pair and are looking for a home together. They are an incredibly sweet pair of cats, who will warm up with a bit of patience, however your patience will be hugely rewarded. Once they warm up to you they love being pet, Mitzke can be quite roly-poly while being pet, and both will reward your efforts by showing you their bellies as a sign of your well earned trust. While they do play they are quite mellow and would do wonderfully in a quiet home. They can be a bit wary of noises so they might not do well with dogs however they have shown interest in the resident cats in their foster home. HOW TO MEET ME: Shako and Mitzke are currently in a foster home in SE Portland. You may meet them in person at her foster family's house or via video call. All applications will be considered on a first come, first served basis.

Cat Adoption Team (CAT) is a private, nonprofit organization that relies on individual donations, grants, and our own fundraising to operate. We receive no federal, state, or government funding.

Adoption fees help offset some of the costs associated with providing for the cats and kittens in our care—this includes housing, medical care, enrichment, behavior modification, and more.

CAT uses variable adoption pricing. The adoption fee for each cat is dependent on many factors including age, behavior, health, and demand.

Adoption fees range from $15 to $200 for cats (1 year old and above) and $100 to $200 for kittens (2-11 months old). Thanks to the Aleece Runge Fund for Senior Cats, the adoption fee for all cats 8 years and older is waived. The adoption fee for each cat is included in their pet bio.

Cat Adoption Team (CAT) is the Pacific Northwest’s largest non-profit, limited-admission cat shelter with its own full-service on-site veterinary hospital. CAT works with our community to find loving placement for homeless cats and kittens in need. The cats available for adoption from CAT come to us through public surrender and through partnerships with other shelters, rescue groups, and veterinary offices. CAT works to take in cats that might otherwise be euthanized. With the support of our CAT community, we help about 3,000 cats find new homes each year, plus offer low-cost spay/neuter and other services to support cats and their families.
