Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Charlie is a 5-year-old spayed female. She is current on her vaccinations, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV negative!
Meet Charlie! Charlie is a BIG and boisterous lady who is looking for a loving forever home where she would have plenty of room to reign as the true queen that she is! She did take some time to adjust here at the shelter and wasn’t initially very happy with her new surroundings so she will need lots of time, space, and understanding as she adjusts in her new home. Once she does though, she is a friendly and outgoing lady who loves to confidently explore her surroundings and be a part of everything going on around her. She will follow you around just to check out what you are up to – especially if there is food involved as she is a very hungry lady. When things settle down for the day, she is a laid-back girl who likes to get lots of beauty rest as true queens often need.
Charlie is looking for a cat-savvy family who understands that she may need lots of time and space while adjusting – and can be quite demanding at times. She would do best in a home with older children at least 10 years of age who can understand her cues and that she may prefer her space and independence sometimes. She has lived with other cats her whole life and currently resides in a communal living area here at the shelter with several other cats. She can easily co-exist with them but does tend to be quite dominant with them and would do best with confident felines in the house to stand up for themselves.
If you are interested in adopting, start by filling out an application on our website and emailing it to frontdesk@couleehumane.com OR you can print it and drop it off in person: https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal?rq=application
