Nori is a sweet, affectionate, and playful pup who’s ready to find a loving home that will help her thrive! At just 1.5 years old and weighing in at a perfect medium-sized 48 pounds, Nori is a stunning mix of what we believe to be Poodle and Great Pyrenees. Her silky-soft fur is like cuddling a fleecy blanket, and her big brown eyes will melt your heart every time she looks at you. Nori has a wonderful balance of energy—she loves to play and zoom around outside, especially in a safe, fenced-in yard, but she’s also happy to lounge inside and soak up your attention. She’ll follow you around like a loyal shadow, giving you the sweetest little nudges when she’s in the mood for pets. She’s also a bit of a diva in the most adorable way, flashing you those puppy eyes until you cave and give her all the love she craves. She’s a playful, goofy girl who adores toys—especially the ones that crinkle like a plastic bag—and she’ll proudly carry them (and maybe the occasional sock) around the house. Don’t worry; Nori doesn’t chew them up. She just likes to show off her skills as a master sock thief! Nori knows “sit” (especially if there’s a treat involved!) and is working on “give me paw” since she loves to paw at you for attention. She’s fully housetrained and settles down quietly at night in a confined space, like a bathroom. She does well with other dogs and would love a dog sibling to play with. She’s curious but respectful around cats and hasn’t shown any aggression. While Nori is friendly and affectionate, she can be nervous around new people, especially men, and may growl or shy away initially. She just needs some time, patience, and gentle encouragement to feel safe and come out of her shell. Because of this, she’d do best in a calm home with adults or older children who can respect her boundaries and help her build confidence. When it comes to outdoor adventures, Nori gets excited about seeing her leash, though she’s still perfecting her leash-walking skills. She rarely pulls but does like to zig-zag in front of you and might need some guidance to avoid those pesky squirrels! She also loves car rides—though she gets a little nervous at first, she quickly settles in to look out the window or take a nap. Nori is a resilient and special dog who has come so far already. She had a rough start, but she’s proven how much love, trust, and loyalty she has to give to the right person or family. If you’re looking for a beautiful, playful, and snuggly companion who will fill your home with love, Nori might just be your perfect match. Could you be the one to give Nori the second chance she deserves? Apply today to meet her—you’ll be enchanted by her soft coat, goofy antics, and loving heart!
