My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Bart, the fluffy and majestic medium-haired tabby who’s ready to find his forever home! Born on May 1, 2024, this charming male cat is not just a striking beauty with his lovely tabby stripes; he's also a playful and affectionate companion. Bart's curiosity knows no bounds, and he loves to spend his time gazing out of windows, observing the world around him and dreaming of his next adventure.

Bart is the perfect blend of playfulness and affection. He enjoys engaging in playful antics with balls and can often be found nestled in a cozy box, which he adores more than anything! Despite his playful nature, he’s not overly rough, making him an ideal playmate for both kids and adults. Bart gets along splendidly with his foster cat friends and would thrive in a multi-cat household, although he certainly wouldn’t mind being the center of attention either!

This sweet boy has a gentle heart and an endless capacity for love. If you’re looking for a furry friend who brings joy, curiosity, and warmth to your home, Bart could be the perfect match for you. Come meet this delightful tabby, and let him charm his way into your heart!

Bart is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting him, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.

Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

Additional adoption info

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
