HOW TO ADOPT: This dog is currently spending time in a foster home. To schedule a time to meet this dog, please email fosterinquiry@arl-iowa.org.
---
- Loves car rides and will want to come with you every time she sees you getting ready to go somewhere
- Has a big heart and loves spending time with her people, whether it's playing together or snuggling up on the couch and just being close to you
- Seems comfortable with being left alone and will go chill on the couch after her people leave the house
- Loves snacks and peanut butter KONGs
- Enjoys sleeping in bed with her people
- Walks nicely on a leash
- Appears to be housebroken, just remember any dog may take time to adjust to a new schedule and routine
- Shy pup who may need extra time to warm up to new people and things; will likely open up in a home environment with patience and time and may prefer a calm, quiet home
- Has done great with another dog in her foster home and likes going on walks with him
- Has done well with children and cats in her previous home
All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)
The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
