My foster writes: Sophie is an incredibly sweet, social, and smart kitty! Honestly one of the best cats I've interacted with! She loves to follow you around and give tons of head bunts to show that she loves you!

Sophie has improved since your last assessment. She's sweet and tolerates, gentle petting along the head and along the back and enjoy his treats. When the door was shut, she reached through the bars and gently tapped the assessors hand asking for more treats.
Sophie tolerates attention and petting but appears fearful or stressed in the shelter. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
A volunteer writes: Sophie is trying to make new friends. She's adorably curious and knows that consistency is key when building new habits (and new friendships), which is exactly why Sophie comes to the front of her condo to say hi. Like any of us, trying and learning new things however, she could use a bit of guidance on where to go with next steps. Sophie thanked me for the treats I offered and graciously nuzzled my hand but then regarded me quizzically. Returning to her cubby to sort through her options, I really have to hand it to this very lovely and very relatable kitty, as she ultimately decided that the options were too rich and varied for her at the moment. I've been there too and though Sopphie elected to remain in her cubby, she asked if we could help her get the word out. She's looking for a family who will see she's trying her best and who understands that her best can look different each day.
