My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Welcome Carmelo to CCPAL Rescue Foster program. Carmelo is a Norfolk/Cairn Terrier mix is our best guess. He weighs about 15 pounds and this boy understands mostly Spanish but after being at the Rescue is now bilingual. Carmelo is 2 years old and has the shortest legs and the outgoing now and good with other dogs. Carmelo is a great dog and does good in his crate. In a group of dogs, he causes no problems. Carmelo is lower shedding and lower dander due to his breed. He is learning to walk on a leash but he will come off leash when called. Carmelo has lived with an older couple and he would love a similar environment but has adapted well to a loud rowdy environment at the rescue. The family that had Carmelo had some very unfortunate circumstances and now they are looking for a new home. CCPAL is happy to help them find their forever home. Carmelo is very quiet and lower energy so he wouldn’t be hard to care for other than being really shy. He is good in a crate and not too much of a barker. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted out locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200 He is healthy, vaccinated, neutered and ready for his forever home. He can be in a home with children. We like them to be 12 or older. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. More about this shelter

C.C.P.A.L. seeks to reduce the enormous problem of pet overpopulation in Bandera County We promote low-cost spay/neuter programs; advise on basic health care & proper shelter for pets & offer excellent dog obedience classes several times each year. Since 2002, CCPAL has rescued nearly 5,000 animals. We are in constant need of foster homes for these pets until we find them homes. Our pets are in kennels on an acreage in Texas. We can use a transporter to get them outside of Texas if we find a great home.
