Here's what the humans have to say about me:
LOCATED IN WATERLOO REGION, ON
DOB: 3 December 2020
Microchipped
Meet David Preen Roth, a roguishly handsome fellow with a storied past. Although wary at first, once he feels comfortable he’s an absolute cuddle-muffin.
David came into foster care stressed and fearful, and it took him about a week to feel safe. Now he approaches his foster asking for strokes, and rolls around ready for belly-rubs.
David does have a few skittish moments, when his old fears get the better of him. He’ll trot away, then stop and look back, as if to say, “Oh it’s just you.” If his foster tells him he’s a pretty boy, he’ll come back to lap up the adoration.
David gets along well with his kitty roommates and is comfortable with the resident senior dog. He does have a few naughty habits: he’s a counter-surfer, so keep your kitchen tidy! He also likes to climb shelves, as high as he can, and he’ll knock down anything in his way. He’ll look at you with such innocence, as if that can of beans jumped off the shelf all by itself. He came to TCR from a rough situation, so counter-surfing and climbing are likely learned behaviours from being hungry and stressed. Hopefully as he feels more secure, he won’t feel the need. David eats kibble and canned food, and always uses his litter box.
David is a lovely cat and a pleasure to foster. As I write this, he’s curled up on the couch beside me and the beagle.
