My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

12/22/24. Spent some time with LOLA. This absolutely adorable 6-year-old dober gal has quickly won over the hearts of all the volunteers with her wonderful, sweet, and calm temperament. She finds herself at the rescue through no fault of her own. Her family was moving and decided not to take her, so luckily the grandma stepped in and got her to us. LOLA loves everyone she meets and is amazing with kids of all ages. If you're looking for a family dog, LOLA is it!

Lucky is the family who adopts her! She is dog selective, so will be best as the only princess of the house.  No cats.

12/19/24  Welcome Lola, a sweet 6-year-old girl who has a lot of scars from a bad car accident a couple of years ago, but miraculously had no broken bones. Lola has an affectionate nature and loves interacting with people of all ages, from toddlers to seniors. However, she has a dislike for cats and is uncomfortable with dogs that are overly in her face. To better understand her comfort level, we will evaluate her with a calm dog. Overall, Lola's resilience and loving personality shine through despite her past experiences.

Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral). These dogs will always be supported by DRL. We welcome financial support for these dogs. Here are links to foster and adoption applications for those dogs who need a foster home or adoptive home.
