My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Luna is a lively 1-year-old weighing 61 pounds, brimming with energy and enthusiasm. She’s familiar with the “Sit” command and happily obeys when treats are offered. While she knows “Wait” for treats, her patience has its limits. Luna does tend to jump up, but a treat quickly redirects her behavior. Although toys and tennis balls don’t seem to catch her interest, she absolutely thrives on human attention. Currently, she pulls on the leash, but with proper loose-leash training, Luna would make an excellent running partner or long-distance walking companion. She’s eager to embrace life with an active, loving home.

Breed is based on physical features. All shelter animals are considered to be a mixture of breeds.

More about this shelter

Springdale Animal Services' mission is to provide shelter and care to the thousands of stray, abandoned, abused, and neglected animals in need every year. We reunite lost pets with their owners, and place many that are homeless in caring, permanent homes. We strive to ensure the welfare and public safety of our community and its animals through education of our citizens and enforcement of our ordinances. We promote spaying/neutering all domestic animals at the earliest appropriate age, as a means of reducing their overpopulation.
