My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Milk Dud! This resilient little guy has been through a lot, but he’s ready to leave his rough start behind and embrace a bright future. Milk Dud was found as a stray after being hit by a car, which caused an anal prolapse. Thankfully, with medical care and plenty of love, he has fully recovered! While he may need to stay on a special diet to support his digestive health—and occasionally experiences soft stools—he’s otherwise in great shape and ready for his forever home.

Milk Dud is the total package: sweet, adorable, and undeniably cool. With his muscular front legs, our staff and volunteers love to joke that he looks like a mini strongman—his “buff” appearance only adds to his charm! Despite the challenges he’s faced, Milk Dud has an incredibly loving and happy personality.

He gets along great with other dogs, walks beautifully on a leash, and is always up for some cuddling and snuggling. Plus, his food motivation makes him eager to learn and a joy to train (as long as you’ve got treats on hand).

Milk Dud would thrive in a medium-active household where he gets plenty of attention, exercise, and, most importantly, love. He’s a special and handsome little guy who’s ready to find his happily-ever-after. Please inquire about him today!

More about this rescue

Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation, find out about the next event, become a volunteer, foster, or adopt your own rescue pug, you are in the right place! You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter, there is always something going on and new pugs needing your help.
