Io and Echo are a duo that will flourish in the right home! These two are bonded, meaning they're a package deal.
Echo is older, and she's the essential introvert of the duo! She might not make himself known at first, but she's kind and caring when you give her time to thrive. Once she has warmed up, she is a bundle of cuddles and loves to be next to or on top of her humans, as long as the situation is free of loud noises. Her foster shared that she was even a little shadow when she wanted more cuddles!
This pair needs a home that will be patient with them, as they're very shy at first. However, they'll steal your heart if given the chance!

We have worked hard to make our adoption process as easy as possible. We like to think of the process in four steps: application, phone conversation, meet and greet and adoption day. We will get back to applicants within a few days even if they were not chosen.

More about this rescue

Paws and Claws Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the Chicagoland area dedicated to preventing, and alleviating the suffering caused by abuse, neglect, and overpopulation. We help dogs and cats mentally and physically heal, and give them a chance to find love, a full life, and a forever home.

Our focus is on rescuing orphaned neonatal kittens, nursing kittens with their feral mothers, under-socialized cats, and dogs who have been at Chicago Animal Care and Control for too long. We see ourselves as the crossing guards for these vulnerable animals, helping them get from their past, whether that be from a traumatic home, a kennel, or a euthanasia list, to a safe and kind human who will love them.
