My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Halo here! I’ve been living my best life with my foster family lately. I love that I can lounge on the couch with a tiny human or even my foster dad when my mom is busy. You see, mom is my person, but she does a lot of things so when she can’t give me 150,000,000% of her attention, I have no problems seeking out another person. She says I’m the goodest boy because I don’t go potty in the house and I sleep through the night. However, I do require to sleep with you at night. I love to snuggle and prefer to have the little spoon position.

I’ve got these really long legs, so mom gets a good laugh out of me always standing half on or half off the couch to chew my bone. She says it’s something called a "tinder pose," but I don’t know what that means. Last weekend she took me to this awesome lady’s house, but she gave me a bath. She also cut my nails and trimmed my toe hairs, which was weird. But she told me I’m a good boy and then she made me wear these goggles. Mom was super excited to see it.

I guess what I’m saying is that I’m a good boy who will love to find his forever home. I like other dogs and all humans, but those kitty cats are a no-go. I have lots of energy and love to run, so a fenced-in yard is a must.

More about this rescue

Michele's Rescue is a 501c3 non profit rescue as of Sept. 2009! I have been doing rescue as early as 1997 and have found my place in life with animals and animal rescue. Michele's Rescue is currently adopting kittens, cats, puppies, dogs and some small animals in need of placement of permanent homes. I help other rescues with overflow and fostering as well as transporting of animals from shelters to breed specific rescues. Michele's Rescue has several volunteers who help with adoptions at Petsmart due to the overpopulation in West Michigan. I am also proud to say that I am the founder of the West Michigan Spay and Neuter Clinic in Fruitport, Michigan! If you have any questions you can contact me here michelesrescue.com, michele_m_barnes@yahoo.com. We are also on Facebook! Come visit our fan page!!
