My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet George II, a proud and athletic two-year-old pit mix who absolutely lives for cuddles and a good game of fetch! This handsome boy weighs in at 60 pounds and sports a beautiful chestnut brown coat that gleams in the sunlight. George loves to prance around with his toys, showing off his prized catches to anyone who will watch. His enthusiasm and joy for life shine through in everything he does, making him a truly special friend. He came to us through family friends who adopted him from a local shelter, and now he's ready to find his forever home. George is fully up to date on his vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. This silly and energetic baby thrives on physical activity and mental stimulation, making him an ideal partner for someone with an active lifestyle. George loves fetching sticks, and finds pure joy in digging – he's always ready to play! George does best as an only dog due to his resource guarding nature. He needs a home without other dogs where he can feel secure and relaxed. His perfect home would be with an experienced owner who understands dog behavior and can provide consistent training and guidance. Despite his high energy, George is also a loving companion who adores affection and human interaction. He would thrive in a home with a secure, fenced yard where he can safely expend his energy. George is fully housebroken, crate-trained, and understands basic commands. While he's still working on his leash manners and can sometimes pull with excitement, he's shown great potential for learning and eagerly responds to positive reinforcement training. His intelligence and eagerness to please make him a wonderful candidate for advanced training. George's enthusiasm for life, unwavering loyalty, and playful spirit make him an incredible companion for the right home. His perfect match will be someone who appreciates his athletic nature, understands his needs, and is ready to provide the structure and love he deserves.
