Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Merry and Bright are two of the most wonderful kittens you`ll ever meet! These bonded brothers came to us as tiny orphans in mid-October and were lovingly raised as bottle babies. Thanks to their foster family`s care, they’ve absolutely thrived.
These happy, affectionate boys love to snuggle, be held, and even perch on your shoulder to `help` with whatever you’re doing. They’re professional purr machines who will keep you warm and cozy this holiday season! They also have a silly side—they might even nibble on your hair if given the chance!
Merry and Bright tested positive for the calici virus, a common and manageable cat cold virus. It can cause mild symptoms, like sneezing or mouth sores, but many cats live happily without showing any signs. Vaccinated adult cats are much less likely to contract calici, and the virus typically resolves within a couple of weeks during active outbreaks. While cats can remain carriers for life, this usually doesn’t affect their health or daily lives. It’s not contagious to humans or dogs, but adopters with other cats will need to take simple precautions. We’re happy to provide guidance to keep everyone safe and healthy.
Since they can’t attend adoption events where other kittens are attending, Merry and Bright are meeting potential adopters by appointment at their foster home in Fitchburg (or by appointment at Angel`s Wish after hours). If you’re an approved adopter, come meet these sweet, jolly kittens—they’ll fill your days with love, purrs, and holiday cheer!
Ready to meet your new holiday snuggle buddies? Apply now to bring Merry and Bright into your life!
As we know meeting Merry and Bright is a bit of extra work, and we`d like to get them into their new home ASAP, they are Forget-Me-Nots and their adoption fee is reduced to $100 for the pair.

Go meet their pets
Adopt a new furry friend
Our volunteer foster homes get to know their fostered animals well and understand their personalities—allowing us to make great matches between people and pets! Let us know about your family situation, current pets, and the type of pet you are looking for and we can guide you to animals that would be a great match.
Our primary adoption site is the Angel’s Wish Pet Adoption and Resource Center at 161 Horizon Drive, Suite 106 in Verona-just a few minutes from Madison. Visit adoptable animals, and get acquainted in private visiting rooms. Open hours are Saturdays 10am to 4pm and Sundays 1pm to 4pm.
We also hold weekly adoptions on Sundays from 1pm to 4pm at Petsmart East in Madison at 2216 East Springs Drive.
Stop by a regularly scheduled or special “mobile” adoption event at locations throughout Dane, Jefferson, and Rock counties. Please see our website to see where the pets will be next!

More about this rescue
Angel’s Wish is an all-volunteer, nonprofit 501(c)3 organization founded in 2000.
Mission Statement
Angel’s Wish is dedicated to reducing animal overpopulation, rehoming companion animals, and raising awareness of animal welfare issues in South Central Wisconsin.
Why are we called Angel's Wish?
Lois Lawrence, a founding member of Angel's Wish, once rescued a kitten from a construction site. Weak with starvation, dehydration, and a severe upper respiratory infection, neither veterinary treatment nor Lois’ love and care could save the kitten from the effects of that hot June day. Angel died that night in Lois' arms. We believe that Angel's Wish would have been that no other animal be subjected to pain, suffering, abandonment or neglect.
About the Animals of Angel’s Wish
We divert animals from ever arriving at area shelters, and as space allows, assist rescue groups and shelters. We accept only animals we have space to care for, and euthanize only for severe medical or temperament reasons. Animals stay in their current home or are cared for in volunteer foster homes until adoptive homes are found.
