My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Stix is about 5 years old (est. birthday is 1/18/2020) and is a total catch. He is smart, food motivated and has been through basic training. He knows how to sit, lay down, stay, shake, rollover and has the cutest most majestic wolf howl. He LOVES to play fetch, hike and go running. He is crate-trained and house-trained and loves puzzle toys and bones and any games you might teach him. He can live with other dogs, with proper introductions, he does not do well with cats. He would make a great companion for an active household. He is protective of his food.

Our Adoption Coordinator will contact you within 48 hours.

Meet the Pet

A meet and greet will be arranged with the pet's foster parent and your family.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

After meeting the pet, fill out our Adoption Agreement if you wish to proceed with the adoption: www.arrcolorado.org

5.
Pay Fee

Pay the pet's adoption fee online by clicking here: www.arrcolorado.org

6.
Take the Pet Home

After we receive your completed Adoption Agreement and you have paid your adoption fee, your new pet may go home with you.

7.
Home Check

A home visit will be coordinated within one week of adoption.

Animal Rescue of the Rockies pulls abandoned dogs and cats from shelters and places them in loving foster homes until their forever homes are found. Our philosophy is that each pet deserves a loving home and a long, healthy, happy life. We do everything in our power to ensure pets receive the training, veterinary care, and loving attention needed.

Our Cat Casita in Fairplay, CO houses adoptable cats in a cage-free cat "playroom" - visitors are welcome to stop by and meet our cats anytime during open hours. The Cat Casita is located downstairs at High Paw Pet Supply, 503 Hwy. 285, Fairplay, CO (719) 836-4909.

Our Just Cats "Cat Cottage" is located in Denver at 7150 Leetsdale Drive, Denver, 80224 where adoptable cats enjoy a cage-free adoption room. Call 720-235-2724.
