Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Traviesa Trifle entered Santa Barbara County Animal Services as a stray and wasn't claimed. She is estimated to be 15 years old, and she weighs 14 lbs.
Prior to becoming a Frosted Face on December 18th, Traviesa spent time in a foster home through the shelter.
Her foster mom shared:
"Traviesa is very independent. She hasn't been a cuddler except for at night, she always slept right up against me. She tolerates kisses and affection well, though. Never nipping at me or acting aggressively.
Traviesa is also very vocal when she wants something! Whether she wants up on the bed with me or asking for a bite of whatever I’m eating, she will let you know what’s on her mind! Her previous owners must have given her table scraps, because she always would bark during dinner time. We never gave her table food, though.
Traviesa gets along with the 3 (at times, 5) other dogs at my house. She tolerated the puppy and ignored the older dogs. Our beagle pup would often try to play with her, and she would correct him, but he would misunderstand it for play, so poor baby was always having to defend herself against the puppy She is a tough cookie though.
Be aware that Traviesa does NOT take treats gently. She loves food and is very treat motivated.
We never fully got her going potty outside, but she did improve in the months she was with us. She often will need to go two or three times before she’s really ready to come back in. If not, she will just go as soon as she gets back in 🤦🏻♀️.
Traviesa became more affectionate the longer she was with us. She is definitely a low maintenance dog. She just wants a soft place to lay. You will be getting an amazing girl with Traviesa!"
Traviesa just left on a two-week Frosted Fling to spend the holidays in a home enjoying extra love and attention.
