Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Skippy, a compact chi terrier mix of disarming cuteness, is exactly like that dog in that movie. You know the one! Where he is the sharp-witted playmate and protector of the reckless and endearing private eye (or awkward fifth-grader or witty princess,) who managed, with Skippy's help, to overcome the odds? That's our boy! Sweet, shy, youthful yet worldly, he is a wing man in waiting, animated by love and kind attention. Looking for a worthy companion ready for wholesome adventures that end well? He's your guy!
Here's some notes from his foster:
Skippy (short for MakesYourHeartSkipABeat) is such a perfect little angel. He has a silly adorable personality that includes giving you a smile when you scritch his nose juuusst right and rolling onto his belly and giving you a look like "this belly isn't going to rub itself". He is very loving, but can be independent too.
During the day he likes to explore toys, find comfy spots to lay in, and wag his tail and give you the most adorable look when you make eye contact. At night he likes to curl up onto your chest and snuggle by your side all night long. I am not sure if it's because of the cold, but he is not a huge fan of walks. He doesn't resist them, but likes to do his business and then go back inside (that's right he's potty trained!), and doesn't get as excited to see a leash as he does a new toy or treat.
We haven't had any interaction with kids, but he is so very sweet I think he would do just fine with any type of family. He has been very good at cohabitating with his foster brother, and patiently waits his turn when his foster brother is getting love without interrupting. He would be a perfect companion for anyone this holiday season!
