Christian is a young pup with a heart full of potential, waiting for the right person to help him shine. Though nervous at first, this brave boy warms up quickly with patience, gentle encouragement, and maybe a little baby talk. Once he feels safe, he becomes the sweetest cuddlebug, dropping into laps for pets and wagging his tail with delight.
Christian is house-trained, easy on the leash, and loves to explore once his confidence builds. He enjoys games like “find it” and chase, and while he’s curious about toys, his favorite thing is connecting with people. He’s gentle, goofy, and loves being petted all over, often twisting himself into silly positions for more affection.
This loving boy is ready to find a home where he can continue to grow, feel safe, and share his sweet, snuggly side. Could Christian be your new best friend?

Behavior notes:
Per staff 12/5: Christian got out for some one on one time today! In kennel she approached me with a tucked tail that quickly went to low wags, ears back, and eyes soft. He was easy to leash and came right out! In the eval room he was very friendly and sweet. He greeted me with soft eyes and wags, and hopped right into my lap and leaned in. He allowed all over pets, and even allowed me to touch his very swollen face! He had no issue with me checking it out, even though it didn't look very comfortable. Christian went off on his own to sniff around, but would come when called and came up with a submissive, low body and low wags every time. He chased toys around the room but never picked any up. Overall he is a super sweet, submissive little guy!
12/1/24 volunteer notes: Christian is a gem. He was petrified to come out of kennel, but once out warmed up and dealt with a room full of 10+ people in and out for an hour beautifully. He was an OS due to an issue with resident dogs unaffiliated with him per Sarah. He and another dog were surrendered. He enjoyed games like “find it” and chase, curious about toys. He greeted everyone in the room and became much braver than the dog I initially took out. He appears house trained, allowed me to dress in pajamas, easy on leash and very sweet. Nice kennel presence.
Per volunteer 11/30: He is a timid boy but is quickly won over with treats. He was in the volunteer office with several people and while he was a little nervous with loud sounds or sudden movements he showed zero sign of aggression. He leaned in to my legs for comfort and laid his head on my lap and allowed pets. He was easily to get back in his kennel afterwards with a few treats. He has a great pouty face and he’s a sweet boy.
