My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Hopper, an 80-pound bundle of love and joy! This black-and-white Staffordshire Terrier mix is the ultimate companion for an only-dog home. Hopper thrives as the star of the show, and he’s ready to shower his forever family with all his affection.

Hopper adores all people and would do best in a home with older children who can match his size and enthusiasm. He’s kennel trained, house trained, neutered, and microchipped, making him as ready as ever to settle into his new life.

While Hopper prefers to be your one-and-only four-legged friend and isn’t suited for homes with cats or dogs, his loyalty and love will more than make up for it. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who will be your partner in life’s adventures, Hopper is your guy. Submit your adoption application today!

Additional adoption info

Adoption application required.

Adoptions applications are checked by contacting references and veterinarians of those with pets to ensure our pups go to the best homes possible. We work hard to place dogs into the right families, but sometimes we realize the fit isn't quite working out for the adopter or the pet..

If an adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in TX usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted. So, in those cases we will post the animal locally, and help the adopter screen applicants and facilitate finding another adoptive home for the pet in your area.

Go meet their pets

We are a TEXAS based rescue who transport regularly to this area. Our dogs are in TEXAS and will be transported to you if you adopt from us.

Our pets are posted on our website, and most live in homes with their fosters. We live with our foster dogs to get to know them in a home setting and to let them know that life can be good away from the streets.

We work to correct poor behaviors, teach manners and observe each dogs particular quirks and personalities so we can give accurate observations of the dogs you are interested in.

We know that dogs will sometimes behave differently with different people but we can give you our impressions of our pups and situations they have been in.
