Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Barry the lovebug!
Barry was born on a farm in northern Ontario and rescued by a local shelter before moving to Toronto (along with his brother), where he wasted no time whatsoever making himself comfy in his new foster home. For a kitten who spent most of the first seven months of his life in a cage, Barry is extraordinarily well-socialized—less than 24 hours after arriving, he was contentedly lying in the arms of a visitor, revelling in the attention and pets.
Barry is a playful kitten who enjoys chasing balls (sometimes even playing fetch) and leaping at dangling toys like his Cat Dancer, but is definitely more on the chill side. His kitten energy is easily satisfied with some playtime with his human friends—the rest of the time he’s happy lying in his cat hammock or beside (or on) you on the sofa, keeping one paw on you until one of you has to move. If you let him, Barry will sleep with you at night (although his alarm might go off a little bit earlier than yours does!).
While not overly talkative, Barry has no trouble letting you know when he wants attention. Barry’s signature sound is less a meow than a Muppet-y “meep” (volume up while watching the video!) and it’s how he lets you know it’s time for belly rubs. Barry is never happier than when he’s making biscuits—on his bed, on your lap, or in the air while he lies on his back so you can rub his tummy. Petting Barry is dreamy—the fur on top of his head is especially silky and his ears are the softest velvet—and he will reward your attention with endless kisses.
Barry is well-mannered, with tidy habits, no litterbox issues, and no interest in scratching things he shouldn’t (he enjoys his carboard and sisal scratchers and makes good use of them). When he stretches up to get your attention, it is always with paws as soft as clouds, never claws.

Although Barry was a friendly, outgoing kitty from the beginning, since his high-octane brother was adopted, Barry has REALLY begun to shine. He is absolutely eating up being a solo cat, but would likely do well in a home with a feline friend who matches his vibe. His foster parents both work from home, so we suspect he may get lonely if there is no one home during the day (work from home adopters take note!). He is also likely to enjoy the attention of slightly older children (6+) who know how to play with him properly.
