Chloe is living in a foster home. Please submit an application from our website and/or email dogs@heartlandanimalshelter.org to learn if you are a match!
Chloe was clearly very loved in her life, but sadly her owner could no longer keep her. Our shelter is currently under construction, but recently a man walked up to the construction workers there in tears holding Chloe. He said he wanted to find a good shelter that would not euthanize her and where she would be able to find a loving home. He brought her bed, health records, and jacket, and left her with them. A few minutes later our director Jenny walked in for a meeting with the contractors, and now is fostering Chloe! Chloe lives with Jenny's medium sized dog Frida, her five cats, and some chickens. Chloe has barked at the rooster, though!
Chloe likes to sleep under the covers, and is a bit protective of her foster mom with the other dog, but they all can cuddle. Chloe is more wary of men but is pretty easily won over (her precious owner was a man, after all). She is extremely loving, and is also very housebroken.
We know that Chloe's person is out there, and we hope to introduce you to her very soon!
Chloe’s adoption fee is $300. This animal is spayed, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative. She will need a dental covered by Heartland at a date to be determined.
