My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Buddy is a charming Chihuahua mix who needs a new home due to his owner’s health decline. A wonderful, affectionate dog, Buddy loves everyone – children, adults, and other dogs. He’s especially eager to bond with his “person,” making him the perfect companion for someone seeking a calm, loyal lap dog who still enjoys a daily walk. He's the perfect size at about 20 pounds. Not a big dog but not super tiny. He has wonderful leash manners and is just the perfect gentleman in the house or out in about around new people or dogs.

Buddy is potty trained, up-to-date on vaccines, and in great health. He’s an easy keeper – no excessive barking, digging, or begging. He’s content with his kibble but enjoys the occasional treat. Buddy is also well-behaved in the car and gets along well with other dogs.

He’s the ideal fit for someone looking for a low-maintenance, loving dog who’s both calm and playful. Buddy’s first adopter had to rehome him due to health issues, but he has been well-loved and is now living with his previous owner’s family while awaiting his next chapter.

We have adoption events each Saturday at Wet Noses Dry Paws in Tacoma (411 Fawcett Ave Tacoma) from 2-4. Not all dogs listed will be attending but it is a great time to come and socialize with them in a play setting.

More about this rescue

501c3 non-profit l est 2019 l

We have been fostering dogs since early 2019 through various rescues.

What better way to showcase them then in a playful, happy, loving environment with other loving dogs in our community.

Recently we have started changing things as we are looking for our pups to go into foster homes/foster to adopt.

We typically fly dogs in from over capacity shelters in Texas, drive puppers over from Yakima, and still have an amazing relationship with a partnering rescue in Mexico.
