My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Are you looking for the ideal kitten? One that will come running to you when she sees you? Purr nonstop while you hold and pet her? Blowfish is the girl for you! Hootie and her Blowfish were trapped during a mass TNR event but were too sweet to put back outside.

Blowfish has been a very confident, playful, and social kitten from day one in foster. She will walk into any room with no hesitation like she has lived there for years. Blowfish loves to be petted and will purr very loudly while being loved on. Blowfish really loves being with her foster mom and will follow her around the foster room until she stops and pets her.

Blowfish loves all of the cat toys, climbing on cat trees and cat shelves, wrestling with her foster mates, and exploring.
Blowfish is great with other cats and dogs. She hasn’t been around children in foster but due to her easygoing and playful nature, we feel she would do great with them as well. We feel that she would do well in a variety of loving homes. Since she is very young, active, and playful she will need to go to a home with another young, playful kitty.

Blowfish is about five months old. She has been spayed, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, vaccinated, and has tested FIV/FeLV- If you are looking for the perfect kitten, apply for Blowfish today!

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Typically we talk a little with potential adopters to find a cat who is a good fit before sharing the application.

2.

Approve Application

We check over the application including checking vet references and doing landlord checks.

3.

Interview

We spend more time chatting with the adopters to specifically go over any questions from the application and details about the specific cat.

4.

Meet the Pet

Potential adopters have a meet and greet with the cat or kitten in the foster home.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

At the meet and greet, if all goes well, the adoption contract can be signed, the fee can be paid, and the pet can go home!

6.

Pay Fee

7.

Additional adoption info

We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

More about this rescue

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.

Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
