My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*** Roxy is at The Cat Cafe in downtown San Diego. ***

Black/orange/white calico, short hair, spayed female, born approx. 4/26/24, #19421

Cats: must have friend!
Dogs: yes
Children: yes

Roxy’s guardian was given a 3-day notice to find a home for Roxy or be evicted. Unfortunately she could not find another living situation within that window, but she coincidentally met a local rescuer on the last day who agreed to take in Roxy; when it looked like there wouldn’t be a way for Roxy to return to her previous person, she became a Rescue House kitty!

This beautiful patchwork kitty is sweet, curious, and inquisitive. Roxy is a go-with-the-flow girl who doesn’t let things worry her. She likes to accompany has foster mom around the house (said foster mom is often on the go!)… while she’s in the tub, bathroom, cooking, watching TV, doing chores, sleeping, whatever. It’s all good with Roxy, she just likes your company, and will happily run around from one activity to another finding her fun in assorted ways. Roxy is a very playful kitty and loves all toys, including the unofficial ones (and bugs beware). She is highly motivated by food and treats, and her one naughty trait is to try to steal food from people, other cats, and dogs. Roxy is friendly with visitors, enjoys pets, and likes to join in social time around the kitchen table (especially if there’s food). When she’s ready to take a nap she loves a soft snuggly cat bed, maybe with some fleece to make it even cozier.

Roxy loves other cats and must have a kitty friend. She is completely at ease with dogs and often tries to sleep in their beds as well as snitch their food; she’d need a patient canine companion who doesn’t mind such things. Gentle children are welcome.

Mellow and adaptable, Roxy is a darling girl who will fit in easily and charm the socks off her new people. Will you adopt this wonderful kitty?
