My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*Indoor only*

Meet Petula, a sweet and affectionate girl with so much love to give! While she was initially fearful of noises and new surroundings, she has made incredible progress and is learning to trust more each day. Once she knows she’s safe, her true personality shines—Petula is incredibly loving and adores affection. She’ll happily soak up pets, especially when she’s being brushed, and she enjoys sharing her love on her own terms.

She has a playful side, darting around the foster room and having fun with her toys when the mood strikes. While she can be a little sassy when she’s not in the mood for cuddles, her affectionate nature always wins out. Petula is litterbox trained and great with kids. She can be standoffish with other cats but has the potential to warm up with patience. She would do best in a calm home, preferably without dogs, where she can feel safe and secure. If you’re looking for a loving and devoted companion who will blossom with time and care, Petula is ready to find her forever home!

Adoption fee of $100 includes spay/neuter, FIV and FELV combo test, up-to-date rabies and distemper vaccinations, deworming treatments, flea treatments, and microchip.

More about this rescue

Shadow Cats TNR (SCTNR) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to assisting animals in need. Our mission is to establish and manage programs for the welfare of community cats, companion animals, and pet owners needing assistance, in collaboration with other community partners, rescue groups and shelters.

We specialize in controlling the community cat population through Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR). As a result of the TNR process, we often acquire, along with feral cats, friendly and semi-friendly cats and kittens. We work to place these cats into appropriate homes through our adoption and barn cat programs. SCTNR seeks to educate the public on the importance of spaying/neutering all pets as well as controlling the cat populations in our county.
