My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Buckwheat is a real gem. We have had her since she was 8 weeks, and sadly we can not take her with us with this move overseas. She is equally a homebody and adventurer. She would be best off with someone familiar with handling larger breeds as she is independent yet will heed a confident handler. She follows commands/ has good recall (she won't disappear on you but wants to explore while keeping you in sight).

Being a mastiff, she is cautious of newcomers to the house and needs to be reassured they are approved. She quickly warms up to people that respect her and give her a moment to make sure they are good. She is an excellent deterrent for home safety/ protector. She is good with smaller/ playful dogs. She needs to be monitored with aggressive or dominant dogs (she would not fit well in a home with another alpha).

She is very healthy, fully vaxed, and has a year's supply of prescribed heart-worm, flea, tick medication. She loves to cuddle and be included and is a true companion.
