Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Pellets: UNLIMITED Oxbow Essentials Adult Rabbit Food (AM) - Separate for feedings for 1 hour AM, 1 hour PM with divider
Hay: Unlimited mixed hay (all day)
Salad: 1x a day 1 cup spring mix, parsley, cilantro, romaine lettuce
Pete has been passed from home to home, first because his owner could not care of Pete after starting school, then because his new owner was allergic. This is the third time he has come back to us and it's because the child who grew up didn't have time for him and his partner Louie. He came back to us in November of 2024, rough around the edges and needing a lot of TLC from us to get him back to a healthy state. He is getting healthier every day and is happily enjoying his time with his foster home. He's a sweet boy who just wants a stable forever home to call. Pete is a shy, but curious bunny who enjoys quiet company, especially that of his friend Louie! Because of his rocky history in different homes, Pete takes a little time to develop trust, but once he knows he can trust you, he enjoys lounging around and accepting pets, he is a very friendly guy! Pete and Louie must be adopted as a pair.
Neutered: 7/17/19
Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus (RHDV) is a highly contagious and deadly disease that affects both wild and domestic rabbits. The virus is causing deaths in rabbits and hares native to North America and is spreading rapidly. In addition to detection of RHDV2 in wild cottontail rabbits and jackrabbits, RHDV2 has been confirmed in domestic rabbits on 50 premises, including a detection in a feral domestic rabbit. Please make sure to vaccinate your rabbits every year. For more information, please visit our website at: https://sandiegorabbits.org/education/rhdv

More about this rescue
We are a volunteer-driven organization working in San Diego County for nearly 25 years. We want to ensure that rabbits are not adopted out unaltered, that they find good homes where they will be cherished as indoor family companions, and that we educate our community on the responsible care of indoor rabbit companions.
