KENNEL PRESENTATION:
Klayda was laying on her bed and looked up with wide scared semi hard eyes. She sat up when the handler opened the door and paw lifted, her eyes getting harder and then began hard barking and growling. She still remained seated and the handler reached in slowly and lasso’d her. One secured she walked out slowly.
LEASH SKILLS:
Pulls minimally
HANDLING:
In the room, Klayda was very tense and her handler offered her some treats to warm up. She really liked cheese and the handler tried to use some to get a photo but when the handler whistled she growled. Her tail remained tucked and did a good shake off. The handler called her a good girl but she began growling again. She seemed to not like to be talked to and would get very tense and vocal. She tolerated all handling while eating but continued to go slow as she remained tense and gave lots of hard eye contact. If the handler did not have a treat, she would become tense, keep eye contact and growl. Tried to solicit and gave some tail wags with time. she needs lots of time and treats before being comfortable enough to untuck and approach the handler without growling.
