Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Having come from a hard life, it`s no wonder that Batty is quite a shy cat. Loud situations can be very overwhelming for him so he spends most of his time hiding in the shelter. That`s why the ideal home for Batty would be calm, quiet, and without young kids that may scare him. But once you gently say hello to this boy and call him over, you`re greeted with a surprise as Batty is a super affectionate, sweet boy! He`ll make sure to give you all of the cheek rubs and head bonks that you can handle, as long as you go slow. Just make sure to watch his body language as Batty can get overstimulated easily! There`s no better feeling than giving an animal their second chance at forever, will you be Batty`s new forever?

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.
Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.
Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.
Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.
Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.
Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
