My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: 10 months
Weight: 4.62 kg / 10.18

Florence is a beautiful young cat with a gentle soul, though she may take a little time to warm up to new people and environments. Once she feels safe and secure, her true affectionate nature shines through, and she becomes a loyal and loving companion. Florence is looking for a patient and understanding family who will give her the time she needs to adjust and build trust. With her soft, graceful demeanor and sweet eyes, she is sure to bring joy to any home once she feels comfortable. If you`re ready to offer a calm, loving environment and watch Florence blossom into a wonderful pet, she could be the perfect match for you.

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
