Meet Delia: A Sweet Survivor Ready for Love!

Delia is a 2½-year-old Chihuahua/Terrier mix with a heart as big as her story. After surviving a tough start, this resilient little girl is ready to find a loving forever home where she can truly shine.
Delia is the ultimate cuddle bug—she’ll happily snuggle on your lap, legs, or even nuzzle her way to your neck for comfort. Her calm nature makes her a wonderfully quiet companion, as she rarely barks and loves being close to her people all day long.
This little sweetheart is fully potty trained and lets you know when she needs to go outside. She’s also doing great with her leash training and enjoys exploring during her daily walks. At night, Delia sleeps peacefully in her crate, making her an easy addition to any household.
Delia loves soaking up the sunshine in the backyard, so a home with a yard would be her dream. She’s fantastic with other dogs, cats, and kids, making her the perfect addition to any family dynamic. With her happy-go-lucky personality and gentle soul, Delia truly has it all.
She’s spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and in perfect health. While thunderstorms make her a little uneasy, she’ll happily snuggle up for comfort during those moments.
Delia is proof that love and resilience can overcome any challenge. Now, she’s ready to bring endless joy, snuggles, and sunshine into her new forever home.

Home Check

Our Home Checks are Virtual on Zoom, FaceTime, Messenger..... followed by reference check as well as a vet reference check.

Meet the Pet

Once your application has been approved and we think the dog you have applied for is a good match we will then set up a meet & greet.

Approve Application

Sign Adoption Contract

Once the adoption contract and fee have been received the dog can go home with the approved adopter.

Backstreet Paws Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer based organization that helps homeless, abandoned street dogs find their forever homes. We are dedicated to providing the best possible care for these animals until they can be placed into a loving home. Our ultimate goal is to reduce the number of dogs that are euthanized each year in shelters due to lack of adoptions. We believe that every dog deserves a chance at a happy life and we are committed to helping as many dogs as possible.
