My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Otter, the charming gentleman who’s as sweet as he is handsome! This affectionate boy gets along with everyone—people, cats, and even dogs—making him the perfect addition to any family. Otter adores cuddles and would love nothing more than to be your snuggle buddy. If you're looking for a loving companion with a big heart, Otter is ready to fill your life with warmth and joy!

Anytime during open hours, no appointment needed. We also house adoptable cats at the Horseheads and Ithaca PetSmarts as well as Sondra's City Zoo in Elmira. Every other month, we alternate off-site adoption events between IRFCU in Sayre, PA and the Williamsport PetSmart.

More about this shelter

Our lifesaving mission envisions a community that promotes turning compassion into action for dogs and cats by adopting healthy animals into loving homes, promoting the human-animal bond through outreach, education and advocacy, spaying and neutering to end the suffering of overpopulation and to improve public health and the humane and compassionate treatment of all animals.

Our staff is amazing and will help you find the dog or cat that is perfect for you!
