My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Simplicio interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for cat parents with either an average amount of cat experience, demonstrate a basic understanding of typical cat behavior.

A volunteer writes: Simplicio is trying so hard to get someone to give her a chance. She'll even wake herself up from a nap if it means someone will come talk to her and she can make a new friend. Simplicio was napping when I walked by but blinked herself awake and started chirping. Like all amazing kitty conversations, this one started in the middle and was entirely predicated on Simplicio's assumption that I understood everything. Thankfully, she's a patient speaker and I was able to gather her main points. Basically, Simplicio wants a family and in the meantime she wants pets. Lots and lots of pets, any love and friendship that you want to offer, she's here for it! Simplicio was left behind in an apartment and has taken shelter life in stride and with a hopeful and starry self confidence. With her front paws perched on the ledge of her condo, Simplicio heartily leans into every cuddle, cheek rub, and scritch. She isn't one to sleep on the chance to make a friend, she's hoping that you'll come in and say hi soon.
