My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Breighton (calling her tiny Riley) 4-6 month old female black mouth cur mix (tan dog).  She's a smart well behaved and sweet but terrified pup. Loves dogs and cats.

She would benefit from a foster to adopt or someone very patient committed to giving her time to trust. She would probably do well on a farm or big yard with other dogs or animals. She loveeeesssssss dogs and cats.
But humans and humans hands are terrifying
We don't know her backstory other than she was pulled off euthanasia list by  adoptapit from rural shelter.
She came to us very terrified that she wouldn't even move from her small ball . She has come a long way in a few weeks!!!! But she will take a longer time to heal from whatever abuse some humans must have caused her.
She is a smart nice puppy she just needs somewhere to have plenty of time to learn to trust humans again.  She would do best in a place with a fenced in yard and  other dogs/pets as they bring her security.... As long as she has dogs with her she potties outside and is good in crate. If left along she gets very anxious.  She is currently absolutely terrified of leashes and harnesses... Right now we are not forcing things we are just letting her learn to trust. She's starting to let us pet her! And she lays on bed or couch with the pack! She goes right in her crate as long as theirs food involved! And she's very gentle taking treats! Other than humans being terrifying(and that's no fault) she's a really good girl! Share with anyone interested in foster to adopt or to adopt!

All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home.

We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application.

We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information.

We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.
