Pippy is living in a foster home. Please submit an application from our website and/or email dogs@heartlandanimalshelter.org to learn if you are a match!
Pippy comes to us from Chicago Animal Care and Control, where she was brought after being found as a stray by a good samaritan who took her in briefly. A friend of a friend stepped up to foster her. Pippy has been happily living in her foster home for the last few weeks and is now looking for her forever home.
Pippy's foster mom adores her! Read on to see what her foster mom has to say about her:
Meet Pippy (aka Pipsqueak)! Weighing in at just 35 pounds, Pippy is the perfect sized little lady for any type of home. As a young pup, she is filled with energy, love and snuggles for her favorite humans and canine companions. Pippy acts like the mayor of our neighborhood, and will proudly greet any dog she sees with a warm and playful spirit. When it comes to humans, Pip is a bit more discerning. She is slower to warm up to new friends, but can be easily swayed by some treats and cuddles! Pip considers herself the protector of her home and her humans, and will alert to any spooky sounds or visitors. Pippy wants you all to know that she is a WORLD CLASS snuggler. This little girl wants to be wherever her humans are -- curled up in their laps, on the couch, in bed, and even under the covers! She is so intelligent and while she is always on good behavior, she will require a bit of training on basic commands. She has her walking routes memorized and thrives on routine and positive reinforcement. She would LOVE a doggie brother or sister to show her the ways of your home and play all day!
Pippy's adoption fee is $250. This animal is spayed, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.
