Howdy folks, my name is Rupert, and I was one of 13 dogs and puppies living in a San Antonio Texas home when our owner passed away. Her grown daughter was surprised to find us all and reached out to 4 Little Paws Rescue for help, and they did! We all went to various foster homes, all vaccinated, all microchipped, the adults spayed/neutered, and now most of us are ready to find forever families!
I am a Boston Terrier/Pug/Chihuahua mix, about 3 years old, weigh 9.5 lbs and I’m adorable. Playful and friendly with lots of energy for playtime with all my doggy friends. I make friends easily with dogs and humans and I make weird talking noises when I’m happy or asking for a cookie. Playtime is my favorite, but coming in a close second is “chilling on the couch time” beside my people, and I relish some one-on-one time being petted and loved on. I’m not really into doggy toys, at least not yet since I’m not sure what to do with them. I rarely bark and I’m well-behaved. I am about 80 % housebroken and I learned how to use a doggy door by watching the other foster dogs. I’m sweet and affectionate, walk well on a leash, and don't mind a ride in the car. I’m just a very nice little dog and I’m ready to find my future. I hear the Eastern Seaboard is the place to be, so inquire about me today and bring me home!
* 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. If you are located outside the states we typically adopt to, we have options to get the dog of your dreams to your location.

Please DO NOT apply unless the entire family / household is on board with adopting one of our dogs. We must receive an application for you to move forward in the process. Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
